1. About these terms
These Terms & Conditions govern your use of makhanatoday.com and its buyer and seller workspaces. “MT”, “we” and “our” mean Sri Krishna Agency, operating as Makhana Today. Please read these terms before registering, publishing a listing or submitting a request. If you act for a business, you must have authority to act on its behalf.
2. How the marketplace works
MT provides tools for business buyers and sellers to connect over makhana sourcing. Buyers can browse seller-posted 4–7 Sutta listings, request samples, submit purchase or bulk requests and track orders. Sellers can publish and pause stock listings, change prices, view price history and accept, decline or update orders. MT may also respond directly to sourcing enquiries. The quotation or invoice must identify the actual seller for each transaction; MT is the seller only where it is expressly identified as such.
3. Eligibility and account security
Accounts are for business use by people aged 18 or above. Provide accurate name, business name, email, location and account role, and keep them current. Keep your password confidential and use a unique password. You are responsible for actions you authorise through your account. Report suspected misuse promptly using the contact details below. Do not impersonate another business or share access with unauthorised people.
4. Seller responsibilities
Sellers must have the right to supply the products they list and provide accurate grade, district, price per kilogram, available quantity and packing notes. Update or pause unavailable inventory promptly. Sellers are responsible for applicable food safety registrations and licences, truthful labelling, invoices, tax obligations and any promised quality documents. Do not claim certification, testing, origin or verification unless it can be supported.
5. Buyer responsibilities
Buyers must provide genuine quantity requirements, delivery city and packing instructions, and confirm suitability before purchasing. Check the seller’s identity, specifications, sample, documentation, final landed cost and delivery arrangements. Do not place misleading requests or misuse another business’s information.
6. Prices, grades and samples
Displayed prices are seller-posted indications in INR per kilogram, not an independently verified market feed or a guaranteed quotation. Stock and prices can change. Sutta indicates size grading and does not by itself guarantee purity, moisture, taste, shelf life or compliance with a particular specification. Agree the lot specifications in writing. Sample availability, price, courier charges and how the sample represents the final lot must be agreed with the seller; submitting a sample request does not guarantee dispatch or a free sample.
7. Requests and order confirmation
Submitting an order or bulk request records your requirements; it does not by itself mean the seller has accepted them. A bulk request may be allocated across multiple listings or sellers, with unmatched quantities left unfulfilled. Check each resulting request. Before performance, the parties should confirm quantity, grade, lot quality, packing, total price, taxes, freight, payment schedule and delivery terms in writing. A dashboard acceptance or status update records a workflow action and must be read with that agreement. “Dispatched” is a seller update and “delivered” is a buyer acknowledgement; neither is independent inspection by MT.
8. Payments, charges and taxes
The supplied marketplace has no integrated payment checkout or escrow facility. Payment arrangements are agreed separately with the identified seller. Verify beneficiary details through a trusted channel before paying. Do not submit bank passwords, OTPs or card security codes through listings or request notes. Any platform service charge must be disclosed and agreed before it applies. Taxes, invoicing and freight follow the confirmed quotation and applicable law.
9. Shipping, cancellations, returns and complaints
Agree the delivery address, carrier, dispatch schedule, freight, transit risk, inspection process and any insurance before purchase. Cancellations, returns, replacement and refunds depend on the written transaction terms and applicable law; these terms do not create an automatic refund promise or remove mandatory rights. Raise quality, shortage, damage or non-delivery concerns promptly with the seller, with the order reference, invoice, photographs and relevant lot details. Contact MT for help with a platform issue or to report misconduct. MT cannot promise recovery of payments made to another seller.
10. Acceptable use and listing content
Do not publish unlawful, false, infringing or abusive material, offer unsafe or adulterated goods, send unsolicited marketing, scrape personal information, introduce malicious code or attempt unauthorised access. You retain rights in your submitted content and grant MT permission to host, display and use it as needed to operate the marketplace and process your requests. Do not include unrelated personal or confidential information in public listing notes.
11. Availability, restrictions and closure
MT may maintain or change features and restrict accounts or listings for suspected fraud, security incidents, unlawful activity or material breaches. Where practicable, we will explain the restriction and allow you to contact us about it. You may request account closure through the contact route below. Records may need to be retained for outstanding transactions, disputes or legal obligations as explained in the Privacy Policy.
12. Responsibility and legal rights
Each seller is responsible for its goods, representations and fulfilment, and each buyer for its commitments. MT is responsible for its own services and conduct under applicable law. We do not guarantee uninterrupted access, independent verification of all listings or the performance of third parties. To the extent permitted by law, MT is not responsible for indirect loss or lost business opportunities caused by third-party dealings or service interruptions. Nothing excludes liability that cannot lawfully be excluded, including applicable mandatory consumer or data protection rights.
13. Law, disputes and updates
Indian law applies. First contact the relevant seller for a transaction dispute or MT for a platform concern. If unresolved, either party may use the courts, authorities or other remedies available under applicable law. No exclusive court jurisdiction or compulsory arbitration is imposed by this page. We may update these terms and will show the revised date here; material changes should be brought to users’ attention. Changes do not retrospectively alter already agreed transaction terms.
